Pete Levy is a Bristol-based contemporary figurative painter whose work explores human connection, everyday moments and the stories that lie beneath them.

Working primarily in oils, Pete uses gesture, light and composition to create paintings that feel intimate, cinematic and deliberately open to interpretation. His subjects often capture a fleeting moment, inviting the viewer to imagine what has happened before or what might happen next.

Pete was elected an Academician of the South West Academy of Fine and Applied Arts (SWAc) in 2026. His paintings have been selected for exhibitions with the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA), the Bath Society of Artists and the South West Academy.

Before concentrating on painting, Pete spent more than two decades as an award-winning television producer, working on productions including Black Mirror and Doctor Who. That experience in visual storytelling continues to inform his approach to painting.

Original paintings and limited-edition prints are available through this website. Pete also accepts selected portrait commissions.
